Has anyone successfully observed IC 2118, the Witch Head Nebula? It's a very large and not-so-bright reflection nebula, as I understand it. I tried once, with the 8" SCT from an imperfect site, and quickly abandoned the effort. I was very much a novice then, and unaccustomed to edge-of-vision viewing.
